Community Halls

If you are interested in a neutral location for your event, perhaps renting a Community Hall is a good choice for you.  The Community Hall is a self-servicing facility (ie. you set up, clean up).  Basic items are on site available for your use, such as tables, chairs, kitchen area, bar area, some plate and flat wear.  You would be responsible to arrange for your own food, liquor, liquor permit, event insurance, music/sound system, etc.  For information about renting the Sioux Narrows or Nestor Falls Community Halls, please contact Lori Ottoson, Administrative Assistant for the Township of Sioux Narrows – Nestor Falls, at 807.226.5241.  You may also arrange to visit a Community Hall with Lori.

Marriage Licenses

In order to Marry in Ontario, you must obtain an Ontario Marriage Licence.  A standard Application Form must be completed.  You can find the Application form here:  Ontario Marriage License Application Form.  Marriage Licenses are available at most Municipal and City Offices.  You do not need to purchase a license in Sioux Narrows – Nestor Falls to get married here.  You may purchase an Ontario Marriage License anywhere in Ontario and it is valid across the province for three months from the date of issuance (you may not be issued a license prior to three months in advance of your ceremony date).

There are both Clergy and Civic services available locally.  However, there are also a number of clergy and civic officiants who are qualified to perform Marriage Ceremonies in Ontario.  The following are those known Officiants in Sioux Narrows – Nestor Falls.
