    Is water quality in the Lake of the Woods Basin important to you?

    The International Joint Commission is currently developing a Water Quality Plan of Study to address research and policy/governance needs for boundary waters in the Lake of the Woods Basin with a focus on:

    Nutrients and algal blooms

    Aquatic invasive species

    Surface and groundwater contaminants

    Impacts of climate change

    Impacts of hydrologic regulation 

    WE NEED YOUR INPUT!

    A draft report will be available for public review from mid-July to mid-August 2014

    Public meetings will be held in early to mid August throughout the Basin

    Please participate by attending one of the meetings listed below and comment on the draft plan that the International Joint Commission and the Lake of the Woods Basin Water Quality Plan of Study Team is developing to better understand:

    -nutrient enrichment and harmful algal blooms;

    -aquatic invasive species; and

    -surface and groundwater contamination, including heavy metals and other contaminants
