Canoes have been used for centuries. The Township of Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls has partnered with the City of Kenora in creating a series of Canoe Routes throughout the region. The Township of Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls is on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe people whose presence here reaches back to time immemorial. The Township recognizes the Anishinaabeg as the customary keepers of the land and waters in the Lake of the Woods region.
