The Township of Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls is on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe people whose presence here reaches back to time immemorial. The Township recognizes the Anishinaabeg as the customary keepers of the land and waters in the Lake of the Woods region. We offer our gratitude to the Indigenous Peoples and Métis Nation for their care for, and teaching about, planet Earth and our relations. We honour this history and heritage. We seek to follow a path of truth and reconciliation - uplifting the voices and stories of this Nation.
