Aspen Trail Condition Report

The Aspen Trail is in great shape this summer!

A recent maintenance program has now been completed along the full 4.1 km trail. Vegetation has been trimmed back throughout the route to improve walkability, enhance sightlines, and provide an even more enjoyable hiking experience.

Both bog sections are currently in excellent condition and are nice and dry, making for easy travel through these areas. We're also working on a new bridge near the 2.5 km mark to improve the trail through one of our seasonally wet sections. Keep an eye out for this new addition in the near future!

Routine maintenance helps keep our trails safe, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone. As more people discover the outdoor opportunities throughout our trail network, we're committed to keeping these spaces in great condition for the community and visitors alike.

Our trails have already hosted several fantastic events this summer, with more still to come. Be sure to follow the Township of Sioux Narrows–Nestor Falls Facebook page to stay up to date on upcoming walks, workshops, volunteer opportunities, and trail news.
