July Trail Update

At the beginning of July, a significant amount of smoke entered the area. However, with the completion of the next phase on Red Pine Trail, the new bike trails are now ready for enjoyment!
The new and improved sections from last year feature "flow trails," providing a unique experience for bikers. These trails allow you to ride downhill without needing to pedal or brake, ensuring a fun and memorable time.
For bikers, it's important to know that there are three distinct areas to choose from, catering to various skill levels.
**Zone A: Skills Park**
Located just across the road from the parking lot, this area includes easy, intermediate, and difficult sections. The easy section features smooth log bridges and gentle corners, while the more challenging area includes jumps and narrow logs to ride on. All trails in this zone lead back to the parking lot.
**Zone B: Downhill to Skills Park**
This transitional area also offers easy, intermediate, and difficult sections. Riders can bike downhill for a short distance to reach the base of the Skills Park.
**Zone C: Bike Hilltop**
Adventure begins here for mountain bikers. This area includes an easy flow trail (Pinegrove Plunge), an intermediate flow trail (DeHavilland) , and a difficult trail (Sugar Rush), all leading you downhill to a different path back to the parking lot.
No matter which skill level you choose, you're guaranteed to have a great time in the woods!
Looking at other trail news this month:
It has been pretty quiet for storms, making for dry conditions and less trees down on the trail, However, If you do see any areas where trees are down or patches where grass is growing tall, please email Trails@snnf.ca and we will take care of it quickly!
